The parking lots tend to be less crowded than the parking garages and you can access the lot off of the Rockville Pike entrances. There is very limited street parking. If you are just popping in for take out, you might be able to find a short-term parking spot.
Pike & Rose Shops
Pike and Rose stores run the gamut between known chains and a few cool local boutiques, New stores are popping up all of the time. You could easily spend a morning at having brunch at Pike and Rose and the afternoon shopping.
Sephora is serving up makeup, perfumes, beauty & skincare products for the masses at prices we all can afford (for the most part). Grab a basket and load up on essentials, including Sephora’s signature line of makeup and brushes. Online shopping is also available.
Schedule a mini makeover or just pick up your favorite Trish McAvoy makeup and NARS lipstick (big fans over here!). DryBar Pike and Rose
Pick up your favorite DryBar products (check out the Money Maker hairspray) or enjoy a blow out if you have the time. For lots of big curls, book the Cosmo, but maybe you are more of an Old Fashioned gal or a Straight up for long locks with body. Either way you go, this is a bit of pampering you can always make time for, especially when our blowouts last on average 4-5 days. Online shopping is also available.
Uniqlo is one of our favorite Asian retailers for t-shirts and cute skirts that transcend seasons and fashion fluctuations. The Uniqlo Pike & Rose shop carries a collection of casual wear & accessories for men, women & children. We dare you to walk in and not buy a puffer jacket (what most people know about this brand), t-shirt with a cartoon character on it or new pair of trousers. Online shopping is available.
The H&M at Pike and Rose is where you go for easy, fast fashion when you are in a pinch for something to wear to a party or event. This shop has great for basics, like camis and cardigans when you want to layer, or add a bit of fun at a good price to your wardrobe. Online shopping is also available.
If you don’t know GAP than you may be living under a rock. Pop in for preppy tops and bottoms, cute spring dresses, summer basics and fall must-haves. Their GAP Kids always has great items for young fashionistas, and a fantastic sales rack. Online shopping is also available.
Outdoor expert REI popped a massive retail shop in Pike and Rose just as this part of North Bethesda, MD development was opening up. Grab a kayak to take down the Potomac River or some snow pants to hit the slopes up at Liberty Mountain Resort in PA or at Wisp Resort in McHenry, MD. Online shopping is also available.
If REI didn’t have what you need, don’t worry, Maine-based retailer LL Bean is sure to add some color to your next camping trip or hike. Browse their clothing and shoes, or stock up on kids and adult wear before your next trip. Online shopping is also available.

Things to do in Pike and Rose
You could spend a whole day in Pike and Rose shopping, eating, watching movies, bowling, ice cream licking, getting your hair done – you name it. There are a few big ones you should definitely check out next time you pop into North Bethesda though.
IPic Pike and Rose
The IPic Pike and Rose movie theatre is located on the main drag, serving alcohol and real food (not just candy & popcorn). This movie theater is pricier than your average theater, but you are paying for the experience. The chairs in the theater are comfortable reclining chairs that come with a small table for food & drink as well as a blanket. You even have a waiter while inside the theater. No more missing the biggest plot point because you need a refill!
Pinstripes bowling alley is a fun place to gather with friends, host a birthday party or relax outside at the fire pit. Order some Italian/American cuisine and wine, play a round of bowling and bocce, and make a few memories year round.
Escape Room fans will want to book a time slot at Escapology. Up to six players can enter this North Bethesda escape room for 60-minute to immerse themselves in a real-life adventure where they must work together to find hidden clues, crack codes and solve challenging puzzles to escape.
PIKE Central Farm Market
Pop into the PIKE Central Farm market every Saturday 9am-1:30pm right inside the REI parking lot. About 40 vendors are offering seasonal produce, fresh meats, poultry, fish, baked goods and prepared foods. We love to see what is being offered and plan our meals around these local farmers and producers.
Bring your reusable bags and load up every week. If you are just visiting, you can still pick up a few snacks as you shop and explore Pike & Rose.
The Beach at Pike & Rose
Quite possibly our favorite spot is The Beach at Pike & Rose. Let the kids dig in the sand while you enjoy a coffee at one of the tables or “cabanas” painted right into this backdrop. It’s a great spot for a few Instagram photos, or just lounge in the L.L. Bean Adirondack chairs. With all of the restaurants in Pike & Rose, you can easily grab some take out for a little staycation in North Bethesda.
The Farm at Pike & Rose
Hidden away on a 17,000 Squarefoot rooftop, The Farm at Pike & Rose is bringing sustainable farming to North Bethesda in partnership with Up Top Acres. This urban farm provides produce to restaurants in Pike & Rose. Locals can also sign up for a seasonal Farm Membership and receive weekly boxes of fresh produce grown close to home.
We love AMP, a venue that brings live acts, comedy troops, storytellers and cover bands into a small concert venue. Grab a drink or some food before you rock out in the 2,800-square-foot concert space that features folk, jazz, Scottish rock, jazz and southern soul artists. Comedy performances and storytellers take the stage to entertain as well. Or you can simply relax in the 1,100-square-foot lounge.
