When the summer heat fades and leaves begin to change color, you know that it’s time to embrace everything from fall farm festivals to pumpkin patches. There are many evenings spent on hayrides, picking and carving pumpkins, and drinking fresh apple cider with friends and family.
These are some of the best Baltimore pumpkin patches and fall festivals in and around Charm City.
Homestead Gardens

Homestead Gardens hosts a seasonal fall festival that is fun for the entire family. There are many activities, games, and rides; kids love the Pumpkin Patch Express barrel train. There are also hayrides, pony rides, pumpkin picking, pumpkin painting, pumpkin bowling, and a straw maze.
The farm is home to llamas all year long but visitors are allowed to pet and feed them during the festival as well. Add concession stands with fresh, homemade pies, and a day at Homestead Gardens will be memorable for everyone.
Weber’s Cider Mill Farm, Inc.

The fall festival at Weber’s Cider Mill Farm, Inc. is so much fun and brings the community together. While there are the usual activities such as tractor-pulled hayrides and a hay bale maze, they also have an area where younger guests can mine for gems on the property or meet and greet a bunch of different farm animals.
Other features include a pumpkin and produce farm stand, a farm market, fresh apple cider made on the premises, and a gift shop full of fun things you can take back home with you.
Summers Farm Fall Festival

Summers Farm has hosted their Fall Festival for over 25 years and it’s one of my most anticipated family events because there are over 45 activities – it’s guaranteed fun for visitors of any age!
I suggest getting there early and taking some pictures in the pumpkin patch before the crowds arrive; there’s a pumpkin train that takes guests to and from the pumpkin patch. There are also wagon rides, giant slides, face painting, a corn maze, and so many games.
Spend hours with the barnyard animals, and once it gets dark, cozy around the campfire and enjoy the fireworks display.

Lawyer’s Winterbrook Farms

Pack up a picnic basket and head to Lawyer’s Winterbrook Farms for a day of rides, games, and gifts. The family-owned and operated farm in Thurmont has a pick-your-own pumpkin patch, cow train and barrel train rides, tractor-pulled hayrides, and a goat walk. There are so many farm animals that you can pet and feed in addition to the goats.
The farm houses the largest corn maze in the state, with four separate interconnecting mazes. There are additional apple cannons, zip lines, mountain slides, a pedal kart track, and several indoor activities to ensure the festivities continue, rain or shine.
The fun is never-ending and you can host your own picnic or even rent a private campfire site to end the day perfectly.
Maryland Sunrise Farm

Perfect if you have toddlers, the fall festival at Maryland Sunrise Farm is designed to ensure the youngest of guests have a good time. There’s a child-sized maze made out of bales of hay, a mini kiddie corn maze, and cow train/ barrel train rides. This farm also has pony rides, which you don’t find in many other fall festivals.
Adults won’t be left out of the fun though – there are tractor-pulled hayrides and an adult corn maze! Afterward, unwind at the certified organic pumpkin patch or have some snacks and drinks at the concessions/ refreshments stands.
Mayne’s Tree Farm

Head on over to Mayne’s Tree Farm for some of the craziest fall fun you’ll ever have. In addition to a ten-acre pumpkin patch, a corn maze, and hayrides, they also have some wild fall activities such as making your own scarecrow, a straw jump for kiddies, and a pumpkin slingshot game – you can even win one of their large pumpkins! There are ducks to feed, face painting, a designated picnic area, and more.
Beachmont Corn Maze

The Beachmont Corn Maze has a pick-your-own pumpkin patch as well as pumpkins for sale in their shop and farmstand. You can then paint your own pumpkin, go on a tractor-pulled hayride, or have snacks and drinks from the concessions stand. There are two mazes, one a hay bale maze created specifically for children.
The fall festival often includes an array of large inflatable slides and bounce houses that everyone can enjoy. Other aspects include a gift shop and a picnic area.
Y Worry Pumpkin Patch

Hosting one of the longest family-friendly fall festivals in Davidsonville, the Y Worry Pumpkin Patch is a great place to get together with friends and family. You can see how the operating, family-run farm works on a day-to-day basis, meet all the farm animals, and have lots of seasonal desserts and snacks!
The fall festival comprises a corn maze, pick-your-own pumpkin patch, and a hay pyramid – it’s fun for the whole family and a must-do fall tradition.
Greenstreet Gardens

The best part is that there are separate mazes and rides specifically for younger visitors. Go on a wagon ride, a tractor-pulled hayride, pick your own pumpkin from their patch, or have snacks and unwind at their designated picnic area.
Fresh McKenzie Charlotte’s Web Corn Maze

Bring along a picnic and have a feast at the Fresh McKenzie Charlotte’s Web Corn Maze in Baldwin, Maryland! You’re welcome to bring your own meal, but there are concession and refreshment stands at the farm.
Kids can meet the farm animals, feed goats at the petting zoo, or go on a pony ride. There are also tractor-pulled hayrides, a mini kiddie corn maze, a child-friendly hay bale maze, and a corn maze!
